Welcome back to our ‘Trucking film of the month’ series, where we discuss the greatest trucking films of all time.

This month’s pick is the 2007 documentary film by Doug Pray, “Big Rig” about the lives, work and culture of long-haul truck drivers in America. The film’s creators, keen to make the documentary as ‘real’ as possible, actually rode along for the day with real long-haul drivers, interviewing and filming them throughout the day – and though they were often thrown out of Truck strops for soliciting interviews, they managed to get a look at the real lives of the drivers and see what they were really like at heart – see for yourself if you think they succeeded in the trailer below:
